Speaking requests
Toimikke accepts requests for talks and training sessions.
Daishiro Sasaki, our Representative Director, experienced homelessness himself before moving to the side of those providing support. He now works on the ground on communication poverty and on emergency support for hardship that has become harder to see. He can speak about people the statistics do not capture, both from direct experience on the ground and from the data we have accumulated.
What we can speak about
- Communication poverty — the isolation that begins when a phone is cut off, and the idea that communication is a human right
- Gig work and unstable housing — what life is really like for people working while living in internet cafés
- Emergency support in practice — building places of refuge with citizens and ICT (Sekai Bivouac)
- Outreach that lands — delivering support information as short videos (“Welfare Uncle”)
- Public assistance today — why applications rise while the number of recipients does not
